Krabi island is a fabulous beach destination, a bustling tourist spot in Thailand. This southern province packs a huge punch with so many things to do in Krabi. Krabi is a southern province in Thailand filled with beautiful natural limestone cliffs, mangrove forests, and more than 150 islands. When Touristic talks dreamily about the amazing Andaman island, they usually mean Krabi, with its fantastic karst formations curving along the coast like a giant limestone fortress of adventure.

Geology

The area is dotted with solitary limestone peaks, both on land and in the sea. Rock climbers from all over the world travel to Railay Beach. The beaches form part of Krabi’s Phra Nang Peninsula. Of the 154 islands in the province, Ko Phi Phi Le is the most famous, as it was the site of the movie The Beach. Other notable islands include Ko Phi Phi Don, part of the Phi Phi Islands, and Ko Lanta, a larger island to the south.

Krabi’s limestone hills contain many caves, most having stalactites and stalagmites. Tham Chao Le and Tham Phi Hua To, both in Ao Luek District, contain prehistoric rock paintings depicting humans, animals, and geometrical shapes.

Railay

Located to the east of Ao Nang and accessible only by boat, Railay is perhaps the most gorgeous spot in all of Krabi. Featuring a number of sublime beaches with turquoise seas and steep limestone cliffs. It’s truly a place of jaw-dropping beauty. Tiger Cave Temple and Khao Khanab Nam Mountains enthrall you with their grace. Krabi has Emerald Pond and many hot springs, Boasting miles of spectacular coastline, picturesque beaches, and over 150 islands.

Rock climbing is the best thing to do in Railay. Climbers of all levels are drawn to the more than 300 climbing routes up its limestone cliffs. Railay houses some of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand. After you have had an adventure rock climbing. Phra Nang Beach is Thailand’s most famous and beautiful beach. With sea caves, warm waters, and white sand bookended by two limestone cliffs and sea caves.

Sea Kayaking

Kayaking is the best thing to do in Krabi. Tourists can take a day trip to Koh Hong Island in Than Bok Khorani National Park. Hong means, room in the center of the island and that is exactly what people can see at  Koh Hong. It has a hidden lagoon in its center which is the coolest thing to see. Paddle through a cave at low tide and come out inside surrounded by limestone cliffs,  Phang Nga bay.

Phi Phi Islands

It is hard to believe that one province can have so many beautiful places. Phi Phi is an island paradise and is certainly one of the top attractions in Krabi.

Maya Bay

Maya Bay is one of the best beaches in Thailand that was used as the setting for the Beach. No trip to the Phi Phi islands would be complete without seeing this pristine beach. It is closed to tourists but you can hire a boat to take you to see the limestone cliffs surrounding its white-sand beaches.

Koh Lanta

Koh Lanta is a great place to unwind and chill out. Another paradise island in Krabi, it has beautiful beaches to relax. A long beach filled with beach bungalows and restaurants. The best scuba diving in Thailand is on Koh Tao or Koh Samui, Koh Lanta. it is one of the best places to go scuba diving on the west coast of Thailand.
