Oludeniz Blue Lagoon Turkey is a wondrous place famous for its beautiful beaches and historical sights. Blue Lagoon part of the Oludeniz beach resort is a quiet and peaceful place. It is located in the Fethiye district of Mugla Province near the conjunction point of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. The place is 14 km to the south of Fethiye, near Mount Babadag. The Shallow water of the lagoon is separated from the main beach by a sand bar and a narrow channel. The sandy Oludeniz beach itself is a pebble beach. The seawater of Oludeniz is famous for its shades of turquoise and aquamarine and its beach is an official Blue Flag beach.

Travelers can paddle barefoot along the shoreline or swim across to the tiny island at the mouth of the lagoon. Canoes and paddle boats can be hired to explore the rocky shores of the inner lagoon. Visitors attempt hands-on snorkeling to discover the myriad of tiny fish in the water. Oludeniz the campsite beaches on the inner side of the lagoon is a famous spot. Great Turkish food, henna tattoos, hair plats, and many more amusements are the best parts of the beach.  This Lagoon is the much-photographed gem of Turkey’s Southern Coast, famous for its ever-varying shades of turquoise and azure, and soft sands.

Babadag towering above Oludeniz on the southwest coast of Turkey is a geological marvel that makes ideal conditions for paragliding flights.

Ultramarathon

Oludeniz hosts an international multiday ultramarathon, called Lycian Way Ultramarathon, which is held on the historical Lycian Way. The event runs eastward on a route of around 220–240 km from Oludeniz to Antalya in six days.

Scuba diving

Oludeniz offers a variety of diving opportunities in its crystal clear waters and rich underwater caves and fauna. Scuba diving is the most popular underwater activity. Snorkeling is another diving activity and many sites are very suitable for snorkeling.

Oludeniz Resort is located near the town of Fethiye in the province of Mugla in Turkey. Travelers can easily get from Fethiye to Oludeniz by dolmus minibus. The distance from Oludeniz to Fethiye is 13 km. Sometimes holidaymakers from Marmaris, Bodrum, and Antalya come for a day to Oludeniz Blue Lagoon Turkey.
