Kumbhalgarh fort- 
Kumbhalgarh fort has hidden importance in the means of the popular tourist Spot. you wondered why Kumbhalgarh Fort is one of the rare forts that have never been attacked and never been captured by an enemy. It has the longest wall surrounding it almost 36 km and in length, the fort wall is second only to the Great Wall of China. It is also the birthplace of the most famous king of Mewar Maharana Pratap and Haldighati the famous battlefield.

Kumbhalgarh is a small town in the Rajsamand District of Rajasthan and the fort was built during the 15th century by Maharana Kumbha. Standing majestically on an 1180m high ridge in the Aravali range and representing the past glory of the Rajput rulers, the Fort Wall is not in a regular straight pattern, it runs through mountain cliffs and valleys. It has steep ascend and descend throughout its length the wall has stairs and a walkway.

The fort comprises 360 temples within its premises. the Badal Mahal, as it is so high that the clouds can enter the palace, You can climb to the highest roof along with the domes and get a bird’s eye view of the fort.
 
Kumbalgarh Fort was built by Maharana Kumbha between 1443 and 1458 A.D. under the supervision of the famous architect Mandan. it is said that ‘The original name of the fort was Kumbal Meir when construction was started during the day, would fall by night. Kumbha then met a Sage of the caste Meir who advised the Rana to make the fort at the place where now the palace is situated. Since the Sage belonged to the Meir caste it was named Kumbal Meir.’

Kumbhalgarh Fort is surrounded by Kubhalgarh National Park the wall runs through a thick forest area where you can see various flora and fauna. the area provides shelters for its famous panthers and leopards  Hyena, Toddy cats, Wolves, Chansinga, Neelgai, Sambhars, Crocodiles, Grey Jungle fowl, Peacocks, Wild boars, and Beers.

The fort is nearly 85 km from Udaipur, after reaching Kumbhalgarh you can stay at resorts and hotels around the fort including a Club Mahindra property, which you can take to explore the wildlife jungle safari. There are trekking options as well where you can trek the Aravalli range of hills. The best climate to visit the place is January to March.

Geology history around Kumbhalgarh Fort-  
The geology around the Kumbhalgarh fort is occupied by the rocks of Delhi Super Group represented mainly by quartzite and Limestone. no mineralization of economic importance is seen near this place. Occasionally, the places around the fort are also Intruded on by Erinpura granites of younger age.

Best season to visit Fort

The best season to visit Kumbhalgarh is the winter season. The temperature remains comfortable in this season for visiting the monuments and other places of interest in Kumbhalgarh. The best months to visit are October, November, December, February and March. The nearest Airport to Kumbhalgarh is Udaipur Airport, roughly 80 kilometers from Kumbhalgarh. The airport has Connecting flights to Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur.
