Ooty Lake
Ooty Lake is a man-made lake located near Ooty in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu, India. Covering an area of about 26 hectares (64 acres), it is surrounded by groves of eucalyptus trees, with a railway line running along one of its shores. The boathouse on the lake is a major tourist attraction, offering boating facilities and scenic views. Every year in May, during the summer season, the lake comes alive with two days of boat races and boat pageantry, making it a vibrant cultural event for visitors and locals alike.
