Eze France

Èze is a coastal commune situated in the Alpes-Maritimes department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in southeastern France. Located along the French Riviera, it lies 8.5 km northeast of Nice and 4.5 km west of Monaco. The commune of Èze lies along the French Riviera, stretching from the Mediterranean coastline at Èze-sur-Mer to the hilltop medieval settlement of Èze-Village. The two areas are linked by Saint-Laurent-d’Èze. Known for its breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, narrow cobblestone streets, and romantic atmosphere, Èze offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and natural beauty.

To the north, tall pine trees provide welcome shade for bathers during the summer months. A first-aid station ensures safety throughout the season, and sanitary facilities and showers are available on site.

La Plage d’Eze Beach

La Plage d’Eze is a picturesque pebble beach located in the bay of Eze-sur-Mer, near Nice and Monaco on the Côte d’Azur. The beach offers clear azure waters and amenities such as restaurants, a nautical club for watersports, and public showers, though some parts are privately managed. It is a calm, pleasant beach suitable for swimming, sailing, and kayaking, though it can be thin when the tide is high.

Plage Petite Afrique

Plage de la Petite Afrique is a scenic beach situated to the east of the Beaulieu-sur-Mer marina, nestled at the base of impressive cliffs. Stretching for 400 meters, this gravel beach is famous for its pine and palm trees, which provide generous shade during the summer. Visitors can enjoy a range of amenities, including a children’s playground, a beach volleyball court, and private beach areas with sunbed rentals during peak season. Watersports such as jet-skiing and paddleboarding are also available for adventure seekers. Along the waterfront, several restaurants and cafés offer excellent dining with beautiful views of the harbor and moored boats. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the summer, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Plage de la Mala Beach

Mala Beach (Plage de la Mala) is one of the French Riviera’s most stunning and secluded beaches, nestled in a small bay at Cap d’Ail, just a few kilometers west of Monaco. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs, this hidden gem exudes the charm of a well-kept secret, blending unspoiled natural beauty, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and an exclusive, tranquil ambiance.

Charming straw huts and seaside restaurants offer visitors the chance to savor delicious meals with their feet in the water, all while enjoying breathtaking views of the open sea. Difficult to access, the coves of Cap d’Estel have preserved their natural, untamed beauty, offering a secluded spot to relax and soak up the sun in complete privacy. The area is also popular among naturists.

You can wander through the medieval village’s cobblestone streets, admire the breathtaking panoramic views from the Exotic Garden, hike the scenic Nietzsche Path down to the sea, and visit the Fragonard or Galimard perfume factories located at the base of the village. For those seeking a touch of luxury, indulge in Michelin-starred dining, visit the historic Notre-Dame de l’Assomption church, or enjoy a relaxing swim at Èze Beach.

Note that Eze is pedestrian-only and involves an uphill climb, so arriving early and wearing comfortable shoes is recommended.
