Pasighat-Jengging

Pasighat-jengging is a very famous trek route near Yingkiong which has a lot more than just trekking. This route starts from Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary which is reached by cruising over the Siang river. The sanctuary houses different species of birds like crabs, wild ducks, and storks. One can also spot hog deer, hispid deer, wild buffalo, elephants and many others. Siang river which originates from Tibet, visitors get enthralled by rafting here.

Kekar Monying or Blcak Rock

The Kekar Monying is a mountain cliff near Rottung in East Siang. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the area and is of great historical importance to the state of Arunachal Pradesh. There is also a black stone memorial on the cliff. The cliff is about 500m long and 50 meters high and it offers quite a beautiful view of the surroundings. Kekar Monying (Black rock) was erected by Adivasis in memory of those who died in a fight on 4th December 1911 with Britishers. The stone cliff stands 50m high and is about 500m in length. another spot is Komsing, where there is a stone erected by the Britishers of Sir N. Williamson, who was assassinated by Manmur Jamoh.

Mouling National Park

Mouling National Park is located at a distance of 195 km from Pasighat. The Park is Lush green vegetation and is home to some rare wildlife such as Takins, Serow, gorals, Clouded leopards, Black bear, leopards and Red Panda. During winter, a large number of migratory birds are seen in this park. River Siang in this region creates a height of natural and scenic beauty. Meandering through the mighty Himalayas provides beautiful landscapes and natural beauty.

How to Reach Yingkiong Arunachal Pradesh

Yingkiong town is located 250 kilometres north of Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh and 1 kilometre east of the River Siang. The town is well connected with other major cities of Arunachal and Assam through a wide network of rail, road and air. The nearest airports to this town are Dibrugarh and Guwahati. The nearest railhead is ‘Murkong SelekRailway Station’, located 160 km. from Yingkiong. Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Service buses and private taxis regularly ply between Yingkiong and the airport and railway station.

Helicopter services are also available for travellers, operated thrice a week from the towns of Dibrugarh and Itanagar. Inner Line Permit (ILP) for domestic travellers and Protected Area Permit (PAP) for foreign nationals are required to enter Arunachal Pradesh and can be arranged from liaising and Resident Commissioner Offices located across India including New Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati.
