Banjar Hot Springs
Nestled on a lush green hillside in North Bali, about 5 km from Lovina, lies Air Panas Banjar. These sulfurous hot springs in the town of Banjar have been one of the best Hot springs in Indonesia. The site features a pool for swimming, and its scenic surroundings make it truly special. At Banjar Hot Springs Bali, one can relax beneath streams of warm water gushing from the mouths of protective dragon statues, enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant. The entire area is enveloped in lush greenery and vibrant tropical blooms, creating a serene, natural atmosphere. The smooth cement pools, fed by natural sulfur hot springs, are filled with green water that carries a faint but tolerable eggy scent.
The upper pool is the warmest, though still more pleasantly warm than hot. It’s a narrow pool, about 1 meter deep—just the perfect temperature for a relaxing soak. Below it lies the main pool, which is cooler. Here, water pours from dragon-head spouts fed by the upper pool, with depths ranging from 1 meter near the spouts to about 2 meters at the far end. Step beneath the streams of these so-called “healing” waters that cure diseases, and the water has therapeutic properties.
