Ubbalamudugu WaterFalls or Tada falls is located near Varadaiah Palem Village. Ubbalamadugu forest spreads over Varadaiahpalem and Buchinaidu Kandriga mandals in the Chittoor district is an interesting picnic spot. It is a crystal clear waterfall falling from a height of 100 meters making it a glorious place. The Waterfalls are located 80 kilometres from Chennai and 35 kilometres from Srikalahasti.

Ubbalamudugu WaterFalls continues to attract youth from all parts of South India. In the Summer season, water flow is normal and Usually, trekkers prefer climbing Rock hills at Ubbalamadugu waterfalls for the best view from the top. In winter flow will be high and security will not allow for trekking due to safety reasons. Ubbalamudugu WaterFalls are located in an interesting forest called Siddulaiah Kona and Lord Siva’s worshipped here in the Maha Shivaratri festival is celebrated with lots of Enthusiasm.

Hiking and Climbing

Ubbalamudugu WaterFalls climbing and hiking is the best experience in the region. Riding through the fields of Mambattu and Varadaiahpalem towards the Velikonda hills and covering the 6 km hike, climbing up through slippery rocks and dry forest terrain is just like an adventure in a wonderland. Traversing through these untouched forests is an awesome feeling.

Visitors will cross the river twice during the hike, The trail is not all that tough. However, to reach the final point, about 500 meters of average elevation and extensive rock climbing are required. The Eastern Ghats of India are a beautiful place to explore all the attractions that they hide in their folds. One such jewel that must be explored is the Tada Waterfall trek.

Ubbalamudugu WaterFalls or the Tada Falls are more on the spectacular side with a multi-cascade waterfall and an amazing pool at the bottom. Completely safe to take a dip and enjoy around, this place is also a great picnic spot. The trek starts from the campsite on a small beach near a village. one can spend a night here before making their way to the waterfall. Once here, the trail becomes rocky and full of boulders.

Trekking

Tada Waterfalls or Ubbalamudugu WaterFalls is famous among residents of Chennai for Trekking. one can park the Vehicle near Tada falls and follow the trail to trek to Tada falls. The total trek is almost 10 km through rough patches and rocky terrains. New hikers can trek along a 3 km long trail one way that snakes along a clear stream of water. Mid-level trekkers can go further up, climbing the boulders to reach the base of the falls. The trail can be a little exhausting but there are multiple water pools along the trail and the area has good green cover making it a pleasant hike.

How to Reach Ubbalamudugu WaterFalls

The Nearest airport to the Ubbalamudugu WaterFalls is located at Tirupathi at a distance of 60 km from Srikalahasti. Tirupathi is connected to Madurai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Taxi services are available from Tirupathi to Srikalahasti. Srikalahasti is also nearest railhead to the Ubbalamudugu WaterFalls, connected to all the major cities of Andhra Pradesh. It is very well connected to major cities like Chennai, Bangalore, and Coimbatore. State-owned buses ply from all nearby towns like Vijayawada, Tirupati, Bangalore, and Chennai.
