How to Reach Baggi Village
  1. By Road: Baggi Village is about 49 kilometers from Mandi. You can take a taxi or local bus from Mandi to reach Baggi.
  2. By Rail and Air: The nearest railway station is Joginder Nagar, about 80 kilometers from Mandi. The nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport near Kullu, approximately 60 kilometers from Mandi.

Day 1: Mandi to Baggi Village
  • Travel from Mandi to Baggi Village by road. This journey takes about 2-3 hours.
  • Stay overnight at Baggi Village or start the trek if you reach early.
Day 2: Baggi Village to Prashar Lake

  • Time: 4-5 hours

By Road-

Route: Delhi → Mandi → Baggi Village → Prashar Lake

By Rail

Delhi to Chandigarh/Kalka-Take a train from New Delhi Railway Station to Chandigarh or Kalka. This journey takes about 3-5 hours depending on the train.

Chandigarh/Kalka to Mandi- From Chandigarh or Kalka, hire a taxi or take a bus to Mandi. The road journey is around 6-7 hours.

Mandi to Baggi Village-Hire a taxi or take a local bus to Baggi Village. Baggi Village to Prashar Lake- Trek as mentioned above.

By Air

Delhi to Bhuntar (Kullu) Airport- Take a flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, to Bhuntar Airport near Kullu. This is the nearest airport to Mandi.

Bhuntar to Mandi- Hire is a taxi from Bhuntar to Mandi, which is about 60 km and takes around 2 hours.

Mandi to Baggi Village- From Mandi, proceed to Baggi Village by taxi or local bus.

6. Chandigarh to Prashar Lake

Traveling from Chandigarh to Prashar Lake is a delightful journey that can be completed via a combination of road travel and trekking. Total Distance: Approximately 220 km by road to Baggi Village, plus a 7.5 km trek to Prashar Lake.

By Road

Route: Chandigarh → Mandi → Baggi Village → Prashar Lake

Regular HRTC and private buses are available from Chandigarh ISBT Sector 43 to Mandi.
