How to reach the Bir Billing

By Air:

The nearest airport to Bir Billing and the first airport it meets is Gaggal International Airport or Kangra Airport or Dharamshala Airport which lies approximately 67 km away. Once you reach Gaggal Airport, there is no dearth of options available for getting into the Bir Billing. The road journey will take approximately 2-3 hours to complete this trip.

By Train:

The nearest railway station is Pathankot Railway Station that has a huge size. A taxi or bus will be there for the journey through Pathankot till Bir Billing. The approximate traveling time by road from Pathankot to Bir is 7-8 hours of a drive.

By Road:

  1. From Delhi

Catch a bus that goes from Delhi Station to Bir Road. Buses are also from ISBT Kashmiri Gate. Approximately 12-14 hours is a journey that is required. Firstly, one can drive or hire a taxi plying from Delhi to Bir Billing. The distance by road trip should approximately take 10-12 hours depending on what traffic is like and if the road is or is not safe.

  1. From Dharamshala/McLeod Ganj:

The route distance: Dharamshala to Bir is approximately 3-4 hours covered by taxi or bus.

  1. From Manali:

A good road trip from Manali to Bir Billing by bus or taxi will take about 9-10 hours.

  1. From Baijnath:

Bir’s nearest town to Baijnath is the major town. Other parts of Himachal Pradesh to Baijnath can be reached either by bus or by taxi.

By Bus:

Various direct bus services are there to Bir road for example for cities like Delhi or other major towns in Himachal Pradesh. Confirm time schedules with local bus operators to get the most current time schedules. If there are no direct buses, then you will have to first take a bus to Baijnath and either hire a taxi or get on a local bus to come to Bir.
