Lake Hillier Australia
The planet Earth is home to many unimaginable wonders. There is one Australian wonder that you can take delight in. That wonder deserves a definite place there Lake Hillier of Australia. Lake Hillier, located in Western Australia’s Recherche Archipelago, lies about 130 kilometers from Esperance or 560 km from Perth. The Pink Lake Australia, neighbors the dark blue waters of the Indian Ocean, with a strip of green forest acting as a barrier.

Why is Lake Hillier Pink
The largest Middle Island in the Recherche Archipelago is an uninhabited nature preserve covered in dense eucalyptus forest. The lake is about 600 meters long and is surrounded by a rim of sand. A narrow strip of dunes covered by vegetation separates it to the north from the Southern Ocean.
You will be surprised as Lake does not have sparkling blue, green, or turquoise water that is usually found in other lakes. Here, you will see stunning pink-colored water. When you get closer to the lake, the color takes on a more watery, translucent quality, but remains unmistakably pink. It even sees pink color in the bottle, and it does not lose its color.
The pink color of the lake is due to an organism, Dunaliella salina. The carotenoid red pigments secreted by Dunaliella salina are responsible for the pink lakes’ otherworldly colors. There are also large amounts of halophytic bacteria and archaea in the salt crusts of the lake that could also be the cause of the lake’s interesting appearance.
