The untold story of haunted ‘Dumas Beach’: Take a tour to a scary place

With a touch of thrill and Thousands of ghosts in them, Dumas Beach is an urban beach along the Arabian Sea, located 21 kilometers southwest of the City of Surat. This beach is famous for its black sand. It is a popular tourist destination in south Gujarat.  Dumas Beach is unjustly infamous for being in the top 35 haunted spots in India. Apart from the beach, an interesting place including the Dariya Ganesh Temple is located adjacent to the main beach.

The beach is very much like God’s home during the daytime, but it becomes the devil’s paradise after the sun goes down. Dumas is the main tourist attraction in Surat, the beach is visited by a number of travelers and tourists every day. however, as it starts getting dark, people leave the place for their good. One more thing, those who tried to challenge the beach by staying at night, either never came back or had the worst experiences in their life.

The mystery of  Dumas Beach

Dumas beach is Located along the Arabian Sea in Gujarat. It is considered one of the most haunted places not only in Gujarat but also in India. Apart from the Haunted spot, the beach is also known for its black sand. It is told that Beach was once used as a Hindu burial ground and hence it has several haunting spirits that never left the surrounding place. It is believed by locals that the existence of black sand is because of ash created by burning the dead which got mixed with the white sand of the beach and turned dark in color.

A number of negative things have been reported in the area in the moonlight. In some reports, it is mentioned that several tourists and locals have gone missing from Dumas haunted beach. In actuality, no one explains the reason behind all these incidents. visitors claim to hear strange noises and weird sounds coming from the beach like people laughing and someone crying.

Another story said that dogs in the area behave strangely around the beach after darkness, depicting their discomfort with vocal howling and barking. dogs here sense the invisible presence alerting people on the beach to stop walking further.

How to reach Dumas 

There are many ways of getting to Dumas beach. The beach is located at a distance of around 20 km from Surat city. A number of local transports are available from the city to reach Dumas Beach. Domestic flights and Trains connecting metros and other major cities to Surat city.
